Mouth Guards

A custom mouth guard fits your teeth exactly, stays in place, and does its job far better than anything off the shelf. We make both athletic guards for sports protection and night guards for patients who grind or clench in their sleep.

Mouth Guards

Athletic Mouth Guards

If you or your child plays contact sports or any activity where a hit to the face is possible, a custom mouth guard is essential. Store-bought guards are bulky, uncomfortable, and offer inconsistent protection. Ours are thin, comfortable, and molded to your teeth.

Custom athletic guards protect against chipped, cracked, or knocked-out teeth, cut lips and gums, jaw fractures, and potentially concussions. We recommend them for football, hockey, basketball, lacrosse, soccer, martial arts, skateboarding, and any sport where dental injury is a real possibility.

Night Guards for Grinding and Clenching

Bruxism, the habit of grinding or clenching your teeth during sleep, affects millions of people. Over time it wears down enamel, cracks teeth, causes jaw pain and headaches, and can lead to TMJ disorder. A custom night guard absorbs and distributes the forces of grinding, protecting your teeth and relieving pressure on your jaw.

Unlike boil-and-bite guards from the drugstore, ours are made from precise impressions of your teeth. The fit is better, the comfort is better, and they actually stay in your mouth through the night.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about mouth guards. Can’t find what you’re looking for? Give us a call.

Custom guards are made from impressions of your actual teeth, so they fit precisely and distribute forces evenly. Store-bought guards are generic, often uncomfortable, and don't provide the same level of protection. The difference is significant.

Athletic guards typically last 1 to 3 seasons depending on use. Night guards last 3 to 5 years on average, though heavy grinders may need them replaced sooner. Bring yours to each visit and we'll check for wear.

Some dental plans cover custom night guards, especially when prescribed for bruxism or TMJ. Athletic guards are less commonly covered. Our team checks your benefits and lets you know before you proceed.
